The Lodge, RSPB

Whose Egg Is It? It’s The Lodge Easter trail and Alan the red-legged partridge has found a mysterious egg! Help Alan find the owner, by seeking out the other animals on the reserve. Visit the Natural Play Area afterwards and pick up refreshments (cold & hot drinks and snacks) at the Shop.
Saturday 2 – Sunday 17 April 2022. Trail sheets are just £2 and can be picked up at the Visitor Information Centre (10am-4pm) or the Shop (9:30am-5pm Monday – Friday, 10am-5pm Saturday-Sunday).
Shuttleworth

Easter Bunny Fly-in and Egg Hunt. Follow the Easter Bunny into the Shuttleworth Swiss Garden and see how many Eggs you can collect. Once you have collected all the Easter Eggs you can carry, take them to The Discovery Hub to collect your Easter Egg from The Easter Bunny. Look to the sky at around 11am to watch the Easter Bunny make their entrance! Don’t forget to get up close to the runway.

Pebble Art for Kids. follow the woodland trail, discover the stories behind the carved wood sculptures and you can create your own story for your favourite! We will each paint two stones to tell our stories, adding one to the woodland trail for others to find, and one to take home! All materials will be provided on the day – all you need to do is book your space and enjoy connecting with nature, stories and your imagination.

BedfordBID hosts this year’s FREE Easter Trail, which features 12 locations across the town centre.
Remember! Bring your pens and pencils with you!
- Collect your trail map from Gallone’s Ice Cream Parlour (The Arcade), Bellissima Accessories (Howard Centre), or St Peter’s Studio Dental Clinic (St Peter’s Street). Please check opening hours for individual locations before you arrive to collect.
- Hunt for eggs hiding in the windows of the numbered locations, and then draw or write what you find inside.
- When you’re done, head back to Gallone’s Ice Cream Parlour, where you will receive a sticker and an Easter-themed ice cream treat for every completed trail map.
- While you’re hanging out at Gallone’s, the back of each map is full of puzzles and activities to keep little minds occupied.
Free Prize Draw!
Complete trail submissions will also be entered into a Prize Draw to win £20 Love Bedford vouchers, which you can spend in over 280 locations across Bedford town centre. Don’t forget to include the email address of a parent/guardian, so they can contact you if you win.

Easter Egg Activity Trail. The Easter bunny has lots of energy and is feeling very mischievous, and has been whizzing around the Sensory Garden at the Forest of Marston Vale hiding all the Easter eggs -and they can’t get them back until the puzzle is solved! Can you help find the clues and deliver the special message to get the eggs back before Easter runs out and win a certificate and prize?
Friday 15 – Monday 18 April 2022 11am-2.30pm. £3 per child.
Easter crafts: Easter egg decorating. Get crafty and make your own wooden egg decoration. They provide the paint and the egg decoration, so you can just let your imagination run wild with fantastic designs! Ticket includes all materials for crafting, and the decoration to take home at the end of the session.

The Panacea Museum

Family fun at The Panacea Museum with an egg trail and prizes, no need to book.- Easter card making in the restored kitchen- Follow the Egg Hunt trail. Collect tokens and swap these for choccy prizes in the Museum Tea Room.

Don’t Get Locked In is an escape room experience based in Allhallows, near the bus station, Bedford town centre, with 7 themed escape rooms and a fully licensed bar. Head to Herrings Green Activity Farm this Easter bank holiday weekend for some family fun on the farm! NEW for 2022 – Opening this Easter is their baby barn. Head to Frosts Garden Centre, Willington for some egg-cellent fun this Easter Holiday! Their delicious Chocolate egg decorating activity is back by popular demand!
Each child will receive their very own chocolate Easter egg to decorate with sweeties. This will then be wrapped in beautiful packaging; the perfect Easter treat. Finished off with a glass of squash and storytime with a meet & greet with the Easter Bunny!

Jordan’s Mill

Head to Jordan’s Mill for their Kid’s Activity trail. The Easter Bunny has delivered coloured eggs to 10 burrows around the Mill Garden, Meadow and Woodland.
Check the Shopping list on your trail sheet against the 6 coloured eggs at each burrow. Do they match? Then answer the question at each burrow and write your answer at the bottom of each shopping list on your sheet.
Collect your Easter Egg Hunt trail sheet from the Mill Shop and hand back at the end to collect your prize.

Wrest Park

Visit Wrest Park for a cracking adventure quest this Easter holiday. Explore the site to hunt for clues and challenges, and discover traditional Easter games like egg rolling and the egg and spoon race.
Track down the Easter eggs and you’ll be rewarded with a chocolate treat and an adventurer’s certificate.
The quest costs just £1.50, which you can pay when you arrive at the site. This is in addition to the normal ticket price.
